Fidel Uribe and Angelica Meza - Good Shepherd Church in Hazlehurst
Fidel has been a member of the San José community since it opened over 20 years ago. He is a dedicated parishioner who has always committed himself to taking care of the grounds year-round. He and his wife Angelica are involved in leading rosaries and other devotionals on a regular basis. You will also find him assisting at social events in whatever capacity he is needed. He is a hard-working man of God who loves his family and his faith. Fidel shares his faith through service to others in the community. He is always the first to step forward whenever there is a need at San Jose--a true model of faith in action.
For over 20 years Angelica has faithfully worked by her husband’s side as they volunteer many hours in keeping up the grounds of the mission throughout the year. Angelica spearheads many social events and helps bring everything together for the community. She and her husband, Fidel, also lead rosaries and devotionals on a regular basis. Last year she organized and assisted with a wonderful dinner at the migrant camp. She has also volunteered with the St. John School lunch program where her children have attended school and volunteered as altar servers. Angelica does whatever is asked of her with a joyful heart.
